The Best Fountains in Ukraine Worth Seeing During Your Journey

When planning a trip around Ukraine during the warm season, be sure to add visiting unique fountains to your itinerary. These are not just architectural landmarks of cities but also places to relax, enjoy shows of water, light, and music, take a walk, or organize a photo shoot. We offer you a selection of the best fountains in Ukraine that are definitely worth a visit.
Vinnytsia Fountains – A Gem of Modern Ukraine
One of the main tourist attractions in the country is deservedly the fountains of Vinnytsia. The Roshen light and music fountain in Vinnytsia is the largest floating fountain not only in Ukraine but in all of Europe. Its length reaches 100 meters, and the water jet can rise up to 60 meters high. Evening shows at the fountain are accompanied by music, light effects, and even 3D video projections on a water screen. Every half hour, you can watch a spectacular water show, and during the warm season, thousands of spectators from across the country gather on the embankment. In 2025, the fountain operates without a laser show, but the water installations are still just as impressive.

A Combination of Classic and Modern in Kyiv
In the capital of Ukraine, there are dozens of fountains, among which the most popular are those located on Independence Square. The fountain complex "Large and Small Vase", "Dandelion", and others attract not only tourists but also locals, especially in the evening. It's also worth checking out the "dancing" fountain in Shevchenko Park and the recently restored fountains near the Palace of Ukraine.
Uman: “Pearl of Love” on the Water
The fountains of Uman are a modern light and music complex called “Pearl of Love,” opened in 2017. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that part of the fountains is located on land, and part on the Ostashivka Lake. In the evenings, spectacular shows take place here with lighting, music, and water screens. The height of the floating fountain reaches 19 meters, and the static ones – nearly 2 meters. The complex has become a true pride of the city.
Dnipro – City of Techno-Fountains
Dnipro is home to several innovative fountains, including the “Sphere” fountain at the Festival Pier, which changes colors and has a geometric shape. However, the most impressive is the fountain on the water near Monastyrsky Island – a water show directly in the Dnipro River, whose height can exceed 50 meters.
Mirror Stream in Kharkiv
In the very center of Kharkiv stands one of its most iconic symbols – the “Mirror Stream” fountain. Its snow-white arch, built back in 1947, captivates with its elegance and architectural harmony. Despite the absence of music and shows, this location has long been one of the most popular spots for photo sessions and romantic evening walks. At dusk, the fountain is illuminated, creating a special atmosphere of peace and beauty right in the heart of the city.
Lviv – The Atmosphere of Old Europe
Lviv enchants from the first steps, and the fountains on Rynok Square are part of its magic. "Diana," "Neptune," "Amphitrite," and "Adonis" not only impress with their appearance but also add a fairytale-like atmosphere to the city. These sculptural compositions have become favorite meeting and photo spots. A bit further from the city bustle, in the shade of Ivan Franko Park, another fountain quietly gurgles – modest but very cozy, a perfect place to relax.
Ukrainian fountains are not just engineering structures but true works of art that inspire and evoke emotion. Visit at least a few of them during your journey, and your trip will become even more vibrant.
