Gamescom in Germany: Major Highlights of 2026 and What to Expect in 2027

Gamescom is one of the world’s largest events dedicated to video games and interactive entertainment. The exhibition will open to the general public on August 26.

The full list of exhibitors, games, and premieres for 2027 has not yet been announced. However, based on the scale of previous editions, visitors can expect major publisher announcements, indie projects, themed areas, cosplay events, and an extensive international programme.

How to Plan a Trip to Cologne

If Gamescom is the main purpose of your trip, it is worth booking accommodation and transportation well in advance, as demand in Cologne increases significantly in late August. The event is held at Koelnmesse, close to Köln Messe/Deutz station, which is served by local, regional, and high-speed trains.
